Clock Cottage

East Rudham, Norfolk

Clock Cottage, a home for a holiday, is a traditional brick and flint cottage in a rural location in the Norfolk village of East Rudham near Houghton Hall. It sleeps 6 people.

Burnham Market and beaches on the Norfolk Heritage Coastline, are within easy reach. A short walk from the cottage you will find a good butchers' shop, a local post office/store and two pubs. The village tennis court, a playing field and bowling club are near by. It is in an ideal area to reach several wonderful beaches, the costal paths and to enjoy bird watching.

Built before 1815 the cottage was once the home of Mr. Huggins a local clock maker in the mid-Victorian period. The clock on the outside of the cottage dates from that time.

The open tred staircase and steps up into the sitting room, garden room and the main bedroom upstairs are features that families have added to form its character over the years.
